Tis the season to be jolly. Now is the time to start putting up your Christmas tree, holiday decorations, and also start listening to the Temptations singing their classic song “Silent Night”. Yes it’s Christmas time!!!
During this time of year some also start to feel down, depressed, and not in the holiday spirit. You may have lost a family member or something tragic happened around this time of year. To get out of the holiday funk, try thinking of the good times you’ve had. Buy a journal and write down some affirmations and daily entries.
The most important thing to do around during this time is PRAY. With God by your side all those blues will fade away. Also make sure to surround yourself with friends and family that lift your spirits and brighten your day.
Now that we’ve gave you helpful tips to get through the holiday blues. Go on and crank up Nat King Cole’s “The Christmas Song”.
Enjoy the holidays, eat plenty (don’t worry next month’s entry will give you tips on how to lose those holiday extra pounds, lol). Enjoy family and friends.
From the Bronx Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, we wish you a Very Merry Christmas and A Blessed New Year!!!!
