We may encounter many defeats but we must not be defeated -Maya Angelou

When you think of March what comes to mind? Daylight savings time, time to spring ahead? Warmer weather approaching? Don’t forget we celebrate Women’s History Month along with Sisterhood Month as members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. When you think of Women’s History, you think of Rosa Parks not getting up from her seat. You think of Ruby Bridges desegregating an all-white elementary school.

In 2021, we celebrate Women’s history by celebrating our very first African American Woman serving as Vice President of the United States of America Kamala Harris. Yes young girls all over the world you too can become history.

Let’s not forget our dear Sorors, during this month. We must celebrate our sisters. Give your sister a call or text. Have a lunch date and catch up on old times. Let her know she is important. As we celebrate Women’s History along with Sisterhood month. Let’s make history by celebrating each other’s accomplishments.
